ABOUT US
Orthodontics is a team effort involving parents, patient, orthodontist and staff. Orthodontic problems can be quite complex, and often involve the growth patterns and bone structure of the face as well as misaligned teeth. Orthodontists undergo 2 to 3 additional years of postdoctoral training in order to learn the specialized skills required to treat orthodontic complexities that may arise. Our practice utilizes the most up-to-date, advanced techniques available today in determining the most effective treatment option for correcting each of our patients’ individual problems. For example, we use digital x-ray equipment in our office, which decreases x-ray exposure forty to seventy percent. This also gives us the ability to review the x-rays immediately on the computer screen with the patient and/or parents. Because we take x-rays routinely at our new patient exams, Dr. Bovenizer can more accurately diagnose any problems that may not be seen by just an oral exam and will be able to better determine the direction of treatment.

SCHEDULING
We want optimal orthodontic care to fit into your busy schedule. That is why we have developed a four-day rotation scheduling system. You can have an after-school new patient appointment if you want or an appointment first thing in the morning if you like. There are different days each week to meet your scheduling needs. Our goal is to make our practice convenient for you because our top priority is taking care of you. We do our very best to stay on schedule with our patients appointments and rarely do our patients have to wait to be seen. We ask that you in turn try your best to be on time for your appointments and to call us if you are running late. We also ask that you notify our office 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel your appointment.

FINANCIAL OPTIONS
It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. We accept Visa and MasterCard. We also offer financing options by which monthly payments can be debited directly from your checking account. For customers who pay in full at the beginning of treatment, we offer discounts. We thoroughly explain your options, so that we can accommodate your needs. Our fee is all inclusive – it includes the diagnostic records, all appliances for the entire treatment time, retainers, and all appointments during the 12 month retention period.
INSURANCE
Having orthodontic insurance coverage will help in reducing your out-of-pocket expenses for orthodontic treatment. Most dental insurance policies cover 80% to 100% of dental work needed during a given year; however, orthodontic insurance is different. Most orthodontic policies cover 50% of the cost, up to a specified lifetime maximum set by each insurance company. Prior to your initial examination appointment, we will try to determine the estimated extent of your coverage based on the insurance information you provide on your new patient forms. Please make sure you include any applicable information such as the insured ID number or social security number of the policy holder and group number. We will accept assignment of benefits and handle all the necessary steps to make sure you receive your maximum benefit. This is a service we are proud to provide for our patients. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
